A pore, a fine line, and a scar do not take the same depth or the same number of visits, so the face is not treated as one setting. You are told how the skin looks and feels for the next day or two, what sun and makeup to pause, and when a change in texture is realistic to judge. The next session is set from that response, not from a date written on the first visit.
